Verified 25 September 2026

Use this path for the fewest dependencies. It creates a base app with local storage and peer networking; it does not require a model, payment setup, or Personal Node.

1

Check tools

Use Node.js 20 or newer and npm. The generated project installs Electron and pear-runtime locally.

node --version
npm --version
2

Install the released CLI

The repository candidate is 0.4.0-beta.1, but public docs remain pinned to the verified registry release.

npm install -g @unstoppable-stack/cli@0.3.0
us --version
3

Create an assistant workspace

Choose the assistant you actually use; the no-assistant option is valid.

us init coffee-workspace
cd coffee-workspace
4

Scaffold the app

Base P2P and Hyperbee storage are included automatically.

us scaffold app -p pear-desktop -n coffee-notes
5

Run it

Run from the generated application folder.

cd coffee-notes
npm install
npm run dev
